Healthy trees and shrubs do not happen by accident. NBX provides pruning, disease management, and seasonal care that keeps the woody plants on your Abingdon, MD property strong, shapely, and long-lived.
Understanding The Service
The difference between plants that merely survive and ones that genuinely thrive
Trees and shrubs are often the longest-living investments on a property, yet they are frequently the most neglected. Without regular attention, branches grow into hazardous positions, disease spreads unnoticed beneath the canopy, and shrubs lose the shape that originally made them attractive. Our tree and shrub care program in Abingdon, MD begins with a detailed inspection of every woody plant on the property, checking for structural weakness, signs of pest activity, and early indicators of disease.
Pruning is performed with a clear purpose rather than as a routine trim. We remove deadwood, correct crossing branches, and shape growth to encourage strong structure that can withstand wind and storm stress. Improper pruning is one of the most common causes of long-term tree decline, so our technicians follow proper cut techniques that protect the plant's natural healing response rather than leaving open wounds vulnerable to infection.
Disease and pest management is handled through careful observation first. Many issues, such as fungal leaf spot or early-stage insect infestation, can be treated effectively if caught before they spread to neighboring plants. We identify the specific issue affecting your trees or shrubs and apply targeted treatment rather than generic spraying that may not address the actual problem.
Seasonal care rounds out the program with fertilization timed to root activity, mulching that regulates soil temperature and moisture, and monitoring that adjusts as the seasons change. A shrub that needs heavy pruning in late winter requires a completely different approach in midsummer, and our team adjusts every visit to match what the plant actually needs at that point in the year.
